End of Life FAQ for older versions of Invivo
These FAQs provide transparency and guidance to help all legacy customers through the EOL process.
- What does "end of life" (EOL) mean for my software version?
- When a version of the software reaches "end of life", it means that it will no longer receive updates, including security patches, new features, license transfers, or customer support.
- We strongly recommend upgrading to a supported version to ensure the security and functionality of your software.
- How will this impact my current operations?
- Post-EOL, your software will continue to function, unless you are a network license user, but you will no longer receive any technical support or updates, including bug fixes and security patches. This could leave your system vulnerable to potential issues and security risks.
- If you are a network license user please to migrate or upgrade to perpetual licenses.
- What are the risks of continuing to use an unsupported software version?
- Continuing to use an unsupported software version may expose you to several risks:
- Security Vulnerability
- Without further security updates or patches, your system becomes more susceptible to cyber threats.
- Software Incompatibility
- New third-party integrations or hardware may no longer be compatible, affecting your workflows and efficiency.
- Lack of Technical Support
- We will no longer be able to offer technical assistance for any issues encountered with outdated versions.
- When is the exact EOL date for my software?
- The exact EOL date is 12/31/2024 for versions prior to Invivo 6.5. After this date, all support and updates for the legacy version will cease.
- Invivo6.5 will reach EOL early next year, March 31st, 2025. After this date every version of Invivo prior to 7 will not receive updates, support, or security patches.
