How do I fix the error message "Installer ended prematurely" or "DLL missing" during installation?

Please download and install the following service package:

Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package:
Microsoft C++ Download Packages 2010

If your OS is 32-bit, then you will only need the x86 package.

If your OS is 64-bit, please install both packages.

Additional Visual Redistributable Packages (2015, 2017, 2019, 2022)
