# Understanding the "Bad Allocation" Memory Warning

**Reason: **  
If you are receiving the message: **“The 'Load Tab' operation could not be completed. The application will exit. Error: bad allocation.”** This means your system is running low on RAM while switching tabs in Invivo. This memory warning was introduced in v7.2.1.

**Resolution:**   
What can you do to minimize this issue?

- Close unused programs, browser windows, or restarting your system.
- Consider upgrading RAM: 
    - If you often work with large cases and see this message frequently, adding more RAM to your system can help prevent future crashes.
